Tap/Jazz/Hip-Hop Come learn the basics of tap, jazz and hip-hop. A little ballet will also be incorporated in to the preschool classes. Classes are held once per week on Monday or Wednesday evening. Students will need tap and ballet/jazz shoes. Classes take place monthly during the school year, ending with a recital in May. Class sizes are limited- register early! Instructor is Vicky Waugh. Gymnastics Join instructor Suzanne Hale in this fun class that will focus on the basics of gymnastics. The class is being offered in 6-week sessions. Karate & Jujitsu Karate and Jujitsu classes focus on technique, strength, self-defense and self-control. All skill levels will be covered; beginner to advanced. Instructor is 2nd degree black belt John Dodson. Assistant Trent Unruh is a 1st degree black belt. Classes operate on a monthly basis and new students are always welcome. Cheerleading The always popular cheerleading classes will return in the winter - with instructor Nicole Cleveland. All interested K-3rd graders are welcome. Kids will learn basic cheerleading, dancing and stunting. Class sizes are limited - register early!

Glee Club Do you love to sing? Then join us for Glee Club! In this Show Choir class, we'll focus on vocal performance and choreography - ranging from songs that are hip to songs that are old. Classes are open to any skill level. Remember: It is important to understand that the skill necessary to succeed in chorus are the same skills necessary to succeed in any music program. The voice is an instrument and gaining confidence, control and developing versatility require thoughtful practice and dedication. Instructor is Crystal Azbill. Yoga This is the perfect class for beginners looking to improve flexibility and enhance general fitness. Class goals are to strengthen muscles and joints, improve circulation and relieve stress through common yoga stretches. Students should bring a yoga mat and wear comfortable clothing. Hunters Safety Courses With cooperation from the Taft Sportsman's Club, materials and instruction for obtaining a California Hunting License are available approximately every three months. A $5 facility fee is required and registration takes place on the first night of class. The class is taught in 3 mandatory sessions. Instructor is Larry Heptinstall. Classes can be taught in the form of a workshop, lecture, or weekly meetings. Classes can be on-going (monthly) or for a specified number of weeks (session).
