Fees are due by specified program deadlines. Registration after deadlines is not guaranteed. If space is available, a $5 late fee will be assessed.

Tiny Tot & Instructional P.E.
What a great way for your little one to burn off some energy before nap time! This is an open gym session designed exclusively for little ones. Enjoy this fun-filled parent & me multi-sport/physical activity time with your child by tumbling on mats, shooting baskets, catching footballs, kicking soccer balls, running obstacle courses and other fun activities. A t-shirt is included in the price of monthly memberships.
When: Monday - Friday
Ages 2-3 (Tiny Tot): 11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
Ages 4-6 (Instructional): 12:30-1:30 p.m.
Program Begins: November 7 (operates year-round)
Place: Recreation Center Gymnasium
Fee: $3 per child, per day or $25 per month
Youth Bowling League
Children 14 and under are invited to bowl on Sunday afternoons in this fun, yet competetive league. The league is 8 weeks: two weeks of practice/instruction and six weeks of competition.
Who: Ages 14 and younger
When: Sunday Afternoons
Time: 1:00 p.m.
League: begins February 12, 2012
Place: West Side Lanes (Recreation Center bowling alley)
Fee: $40 (bowlers with sanction card) or $60 (bowlers without sanction card)
Registration deadline: Friday, February 3
Tiny Tot Kickball
Who says you have to be a big kid to play kickball? Let's play the toddler way! Players will learn the basic rules of kickball, get some exercise and learn the importance of stretching and warming up before sports.
Who: Ages 2-4
When: Thursday Evenings
Time: TBA
Session: January 26 - February 16
Place: Recreation Center Gymnasium
Fee: $25 per person
Registration deadline: Thursday, January 19
Ponytail Softball
Registration is underway for the 2012 Ponytail Softball league. Player evaluations (try-outs) are scheduled to be held on Tuesday, March 6 and practices will begin the week of March 12. Players should register in the division that corresponds with their age as of April 30, 2012.
Note: This year there will not be a Ponytail
T-Ball division; it will be replaced by the
Instructional T-Ball program for boys and girls
ages 5-6.
Division I: Ages 7-9
Division II: Ages 10-12
Division III: Ages 13-15
When: Monday - Thursday evening games
Practices Begin: March 12, 2012
Fees and Deadlines:
$40: through December 22
$45: December 27 - February 23
$50: after February 23 (upon program availability)
**NO SCHOLARSHIPS will be available after February 23 - please register early!
Youth Track
This program is designed to train boys and girls
ages 6-15 in all areas of track and field.
Participants are eligible to enter the District Track
Meet, and may also qualify to advance to other Meets.
Who: Ages 6-15
When: Weekday Evenings
Time: 5:30-6:30 p.m.
Season: March - May 2012
Place: Taft Union High School Track
Fee: $45 per person
Registration deadline: Thursday, February 23
Instructional T-Ball
T-Ball is a sport based on baseball and is intended as an introduction for children to develop baseball skills and have fun. Our league is a bit less structured than leagues for older kids; we have no tryouts or draft.
Who: Ages 4-6
When: Thursday Evenings
Time: 6:00-7:00 p.m.
Session: March 15 - April 5, 2012
Place: Wrecker Field (Recreation Center)
Fee: $25 per person
Registration deadline: Thursday, March 8
Tiny Tot Wiffle Ball
This program gives kids the opportunity to learn the fundamental skills of baseball while participating in a social and welcoming environment. Without scores or umpires, kids are able to learn basic skills, character values and teamwork. Our goal is that kids emerge with the skills necessary to participate at the next level by the end of the season.
Who: Ages 2-3
When: Thursday Evenings
Time: 5:00-6:00 p.m.
Session: March 15 - April 5, 2012
Place: Wrecker Field (Recreation Center)
Fee: $25 per person
